Grant Zimmerman

VA

I’ve been working as a veterinary technician for over five years, with hands-on experience in both small animal and equine care. My background includes a strong focus on dogs, cats, and horses, giving me a well-rounded skill set in both clinical and field settings. In small animal practice, I’ve gained experience in everything from routine exams and diagnostics to surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, and client education. I’m confident handling a variety of cases, from wellness visits to emergency situations, and I take pride in supporting both the veterinary team and pet owners through each step of the care process. On the equine side, I’ve worked with performance horses, pleasure horses, and everything in between—assisting with lameness evaluations, wound care, vaccinations, and preventative health programs. I’m comfortable in the barn, in the trailer, or at the clinic, always focused on patient safety and comfort. Above all, I’m passionate about animal health and dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. I value teamwork, communication, and continuing education to stay current in this ever-evolving field.

Erin Gilbert

Kennel Assistant

I’ve spent the last 10 years working with just about every kind of animal you can imagine from dogs and cats to large farm animals and even some exotic creatures. I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality – and, of course, squeezing in a little playtime. I share my life with two wild (but lovable) pups: Whiskey River, a Belgian Malinois who thinks she’s the boss, and Warrior, a German Shepherd/Husky mix with endless energy. When I’m not working with animals, you’ll probably find me playing hockey, chasing a pickleball, exploring with my camera, or cheering from the stands at a dirt track race.
